KulturTagJahr

Final presentation of the one-week music workshop with the Ensemble Modern

Information

In the run-up to cresc... 2013, 220 teenagers from different schools will find their own approach to contemporary music, aided by members of the Ensemble Modern, education trainers, an author and an actor. For one week, they will explore Zimmermann’s »Musique pour les soupers du Roi Ubu« at the State Music Academy of Hesse and present the results of their work at Frankfurt LAB.

Culture Day Year is an interdisciplinary format initiated by the ALTANA Cultural Foundation which aims to integrate aesthetic education in daily school life: in 2013/14, it takes place for the fifth time at Frankfurt’s Bettina School, in cooperation with the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt, the Cultural Ministry of Hesse and the International Ensemble Modern Academy, and for the third time at the Integrated Comprehensive School Nordend, with additional cooperation of the Forsythe Company and the Frankfurt Theatre.
